Terms and Conditions
Terms of use for Lumina Bible
Please read these terms carefully before using the Lumina Bible app. By downloading, installing or using the app, you agree to be bound by them.
1. Acceptance of terms
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) are a legal agreement between you and Ankitbhai Jayantibhai Patel (Vinviter) (“we”, “us”, “our”) governing your use of the Lumina Bible app and all related services.
By downloading, installing or using the app, you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please stop using the app and uninstall it.
These Terms should be read together with our Privacy Policy, which forms part of them.
2. Definitions

| “Premium” | A paid subscription purchased through Google Play |
3. Eligibility
- You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum digital-consent age in your country) to use the app.
- If you are under 18, you may use the app only with the permission and supervision of a parent or legal guardian.
- You must have the legal right to make any purchase you make.
- If you use the app on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you have authority to bind it to these Terms.
4. Licence to use
We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to use the app for your own personal, non-commercial use.
This licence does not allow you to:
- sell, rent, sub-license or redistribute the app or its content;
- reverse-engineer, decompile or disassemble the app;
- remove copyright, trademark or other proprietary notices;
- extract content using automated means (bots, scrapers);
- create or distribute modified or counterfeit versions of the app.
5. Accounts and identity
Signing in is optional. Without signing in, you are identified by an anonymous user ID linked to your device. You may sign in with Google, Facebook or email to use your profile and the Community.
- You are responsible for keeping access to your sign-in account secure and for all activity under your account.
- The information you provide must be accurate. Do not impersonate anyone.
- If you use the app without signing in, changing phones, uninstalling or resetting your device may change your user ID and your progress may be lost.
- Bookmarks, highlights and notes are stored only on your phone and are permanently erased when you uninstall.
- Premium can be restored on a new device through “Restore purchases”, using the same Google account.
- You can delete your account at any time under Profile → Delete Account.
6. Premium subscription and payment
- Basic use of the app is free. Premium is optional.
- All purchases are made through Google Play Billing, and Google Play's own terms also apply.
- Prices are shown clearly in the app before purchase and include applicable taxes.
- We may change prices. A new price will not apply to a subscription period already paid for.
- If a free trial is offered, you will be charged when it ends unless you cancel before then.
- We never receive your card, UPI or bank details.
7. Renewal, cancellation and refunds
7.1 Automatic renewal
Subscriptions renew automatically. Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends, your Google account will be charged for the next period.
7.2 How to cancel
You can cancel at any time:
Google Play Store → Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Lumina Bible → Cancel
After cancelling, you keep Premium features until the end of the current period. Uninstalling the app or deleting your account does not cancel your subscription.
7.3 Refunds
Refunds are governed by Google Play's refund policy, not by us. Please request refunds directly through Google Play. In special cases we may support your request to Google, but the final decision is Google's.
Partially used periods are generally not refunded, except where required by law.
8. Advertising
- The free version shows Google AdMob ads — when the app opens, as banners, between screens, and as optional rewarded ads.
- A Premium subscription removes all ads.
- Ad content is controlled by Google. We do not endorse, and are not responsible for, products or services shown in ads.
- If you see an offensive ad, please let us know.
9. AI assistant — important disclaimer
The app's AI assistant is powered by artificial intelligence technology.
- AI answers are not religious or theological authority. Check any interpretation against Scripture yourself and with your spiritual leaders.
- For health, mental-health, legal or financial matters, please consult a qualified professional.
- If you are in crisis or having thoughts of self-harm, please contact a helpline or your local emergency services immediately — the AI assistant is not suitable for this.
- Do not send sensitive personal, financial or health information to the AI assistant.
- You are solely responsible for any decisions you make based on AI answers.
10. Bible text, audio and content
- Bible text, commentary, audio, devotionals, prayers and stories in the app are for personal spiritual use.
- You may share verses and quotes personally (for example, verse images created in the app), but commercial redistribution, republication or resale of content is prohibited.
- Downloading audio files and uploading or distributing them elsewhere is prohibited.
- Some Bible translations are licensed from third parties and remain subject to their copyright terms.
- We make reasonable efforts to ensure accuracy, but translation, typing or technical errors are possible. We will correct reported errors as soon as practical.
- We may add, change or remove content at any time.
11. Community and your content
- You own your User Content. By posting it in the Community, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, display, reproduce and distribute it within the app for the purpose of operating the Service. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies other users have already shared.
- Posts in the Community are visible to other users. Posting anonymously hides your name and photo from other users, but not from us.
- You are responsible for your User Content and confirm you have the right to post it and that it does not infringe anyone's rights.
- We may review, hide or remove User Content, and suspend accounts, that break these Terms or that we reasonably believe are harmful — with or without notice.
- Use Report on any post that is abusive, offensive or inappropriate. We aim to review reports promptly.
- Views expressed in User Content are those of the users who posted them, not ours.
- Your notes, highlights and bookmarks are entirely yours and stay on your phone. We make no claim to them.
- When you send us feedback, you allow us to use it to improve the app without payment or attribution.
12. Acceptable use
When using the app, you agree not to:
- break any applicable law or regulation;
- post content that is hateful, harassing, threatening, sexually explicit, violent, defamatory or that mocks any person or faith;
- post spam, advertising, scams, or requests for money;
- share other people's personal information without their consent;
- impersonate another person or organisation;
- disrupt, overload or attempt to hack the app, servers or networks;
- bypass security measures, payment systems or Premium restrictions;
- collect app content or user data by automated means;
- upload viruses, malware or harmful code;
- use the app for any purpose that conflicts with these Terms.
If you break these Terms, we may limit or end your access without notice.
13. Intellectual property
The name “Lumina Bible”, its logo, design, interface, source code, graphics, audio recordings, commentary and all other elements (excluding User Content and third-party licensed material) are the property of Ankitbhai Jayantibhai Patel (Vinviter) or its licensors and are protected by Indian and international copyright and trademark laws.
No rights are transferred to you other than those expressly granted in these Terms.
14. Reels and third-party content
- The “Reels” section shows short videos and images, some of which may come from third-party sources.
- We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness or suitability of such content.
- External links in the app (such as WhatsApp support, the Play Store, Google or Facebook sign-in and policy pages) are third-party services with their own terms. We are not responsible for them.
- If objectionable content is reported, we may review and remove it.
15. Availability and changes
- Core Bible reading works offline, but audio, the AI assistant, Reels, the Community and daily content need an internet connection.
- We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. Maintenance, technical issues or network problems may cause temporary interruptions.
- We may add, change, limit or discontinue any feature. Important changes will be announced in the app.
- Updates may be required for the app to work properly. Some features may stop working on older versions.
16. Termination
- You may end these Terms at any time by deleting your account and uninstalling the app.
- We may suspend or terminate your access without notice for breach of these Terms, fraud or misuse.
- Sections 13 (Intellectual property), 17 (Disclaimer), 18 (Limitation of liability), 19 (Indemnity) and 20 (Governing law) survive termination.
17. Disclaimer of warranties
The app and all its content are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we do not warrant that:
- the app will meet your particular needs;
- the service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure or error-free;
- content, translations, User Content or AI answers will be fully accurate or reliable;
- any defect will be corrected.
You use the app entirely at your own risk.
18. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ankitbhai Jayantibhai Patel (Vinviter) and its directors, employees, partners and service providers will not be liable for:
- any indirect, incidental, special, punitive or consequential damages;
- loss of data, notes, bookmarks, highlights or reading progress;
- loss of profits, goodwill or opportunity;
- any loss from relying on AI answers, content, translations or User Content;
- damage caused by third-party services (Google Play, AdMob, Firebase, Facebook, network providers);
- damage caused by any interruption or unavailability of the service.
In any case, our total liability will not exceed the amount you actually paid for the app in the twelve (12) months before the claim, or US $15 (or its equivalent in your local currency) — whichever is lower.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability; in that case the above limits apply only to the extent permitted by law. Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
19. Indemnity
You agree to defend and indemnify us against any claim, loss, liability or legal cost arising from your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the app, your User Content, or your violation of any third party's rights.
20. Governing law and disputes
- These Terms are governed by and interpreted under the laws of the Republic of India.
- The courts of {{City}}, India will have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from these Terms, subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have in your country of residence.
- In a dispute, both parties will first try to resolve it through good-faith discussion. Please email us first at jackybharwad007@gmail.com.
- If it is not resolved within 30 days, the dispute may be referred to arbitration under the Indian Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, seated in {{City}}, in the English language.
21. Changes to these terms
We may change these Terms at any time. For important changes we will notify you in the app and update the “Effective date” above.
Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the new Terms. If you do not agree, please stop using the app.
22. General provisions
- Entire agreement: these Terms and the Privacy Policy form the entire agreement between you and us.
- Severability: if any provision is found invalid, the rest remain in full effect.
- No waiver: failing to enforce a right does not waive that right.
- Assignment: you may not transfer your rights under these Terms. We may do so in a merger or acquisition.
- Language: these Terms are written in English. If a translation conflicts with the English version, the English version prevails.
